etsy treasury :: zebra polka dot

At the end of JANUARY, I scored my first chance at curating an Etsy Treasury. I forgot to mention this in my super long update post below :)

Etsy Treasuries aren’t that easy to get, because they only allow a limited number of them at a time, they only open up every few days or so & there are usually hundreds of people waiting to try to get a spot when the Treasury does open.

My opportunity to create one was kind of a fluke lol. I noticed via Craftopolis that the Treasury Main was about to expire, so I clicked over to it & since there was only a few minutes left I figured what the hey, I’ll wait & see what happens.

I had heard in the Etsy Virtual Labs from other people that you have to keep refreshing the page when it is about to expire, so I refreshed a few times & voila! It was open & I had a spot. I panicked for a split second because I didn’t have anything planned & didn’t even know what to do next.

I quickly came up with a name & then hit the create button. The first thing that came to mind was my Zebra Collection, so I based the theme for the Treasury around my Zebra Collection baby shower invitations.

I quickly opened Etsy’s blog The Storque in a new tab to see what I could find out quickly about creating a Treasury & found this article ~ How to Make a Treasury: The Nuts and Bolts. Creating a Treasury was pretty simple, but I wanted to be positive I was doing it right.

Then I spent the next few hours searching Etsy for other items that would fit my blue & brown, Zebra-Polka Dot theme…

I think it’s a fabulous collection for a baby shower, don’t you? :)
